The spin-offs for us and our young people are huge. All the familiar safe structures which protected us from wider challenges and threats are breaking down. Socialist-type governments which once acted in a parental role, caring for us from cradle to grave, no longer have the means or the inclination to do this. Initially such change leads to fear and chaos as people see the familiar and safe dissolving under them or being ruthlessly destroyed. The certainties have gone. At this time we can either choose fear and impotence, or we can move beyond fear into a clear vision of the future, and how we can put that vision into place by taking responsibility at personal, national and global levels. As a humanity we are being called to grow up, to birth a whole new level of consciousness and a deeper sense of what it means to be human.

The choices we each make in regard to these challenges will produce our immediate future. And it is these choices which will impact deeply on the next generation of our children.

The call of the time is profound. In many respects it is the call of the future and ‘God’s new thing’ (or the next phase of the Divine initiative in relation to humanity). This call will be heard most profoundly by spiritually gifted children. And somehow we need to honour and support that to the best of our capacity.
